Bingo Adverts

Love them or hate them, there are more and more bingo adverts hitting our television screens on a weekly basis. It almost seems that you cannot watch a tv programme without a bingo company being sponsors of the programme or seeing a bingo ad during the break.

It’s interesting to see what adverts people enjoy and which adverts they dislike and that people’s opinions differ from each other. Of course, the world would certainly be a very boring place if we all liked the same things.

My friend loves the 888Ladies advert where Vic Reeves comes down the stairs dressed as a lady ready for his night of bingo. The advert shows bingo in more of a traditional light of a girls night out but with a comic twist.

Whereas I have to confess my all time favourite bingo ad is the Foxy Bingo advert. Not because of the advert itself I must confess, although Mr Foxy does have a bit of a je ne sais qua about him, but more for the music that accompanies the advert.

The most obscure bingo ad I have seen recently is for Think Bingo. What does being in a swimming pool have to do with playing bingo! Although I guess the marketing company that dreamt up that advert must have got their strategy right as it did make me think exactly that.

Another annoying advert is the one for Crown bingo where people walk around with crowns hovering above their heads and bingo balls floating nearby! Doesn’t exactly inspire me to go and register at their site to play a game of bingo.

With online bingo expanding at a rapid rate it is inevitable that there will be a lot more bingo adverts on our screens in the future.
